Location. The Grand Mayan Wyndham Nuevo Vallarta is located in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico, along a half mile stretch of beach on the Pacific coast 20 minutes north of downtown Puerto Vallarta. The resort is less than three kilometers from Sea Life Park, where guests can swim with the dolphins.
Features. The Grand Mayan Wyndham Nuevo Vallarta is a nine story high rise resort hotel with a beachfront water park featuring a lazy river, wave pool and water slide. The resort has an 18 hole golf course on site. The property's free form outdoor pool area offers lush gardens, fountains and a swim up bar. Nine restaurants and bars serve an array of international meals. Other amenities include a health club with sauna, jetted tub and steam room. A full service health spa offers beachside massages and beauty services. The Grand Mayan's kids' club provides supervised activities, including indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, and entertainment. Guestrooms. Accommodations at the Grand Mayan feature ground floor patios and balconies on upper floors, sofa beds and ceiling fans. Expert Tip.Tennessee Williams' play, The Night of the Iguana, was filmed on location in nearby Puerto Vallarta. The 1964 film, starring Richard Burton, Ava Gardner and Deborah Kerr, is credited with making this area a popular destination for travelers.
