The Sofitel Hamburg Alter Wall occupies an eight storey contemporary steel and glass building situated in the centre of Hamburg, in between the town hall and the harbour, directly on the Alster River. The 241 guestrooms have modern furnishings, including desks. All are equipped with wireless and dial up Internet connections (surcharge), direct dial phones with voicemail, satellite television with pay movies, minibars, safes, and complimentary bottled water and newspapers. Onsite conference facilities comprise 26 meeting rooms with a maximum capacity of 400 people. Jungfernsteig, Hamburg's main street, is 400 metres from the hotel and the lively nightlife of the Reeperbahn can be found one kilometre away. Rodingsmarkt metro station is 100 metres from the hotel. Hamburg Fuhlsb�ttel Airport is 14 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 25 minutes.

Driving Directions
Taxis services to central Hamburg take approximately 30 minutes and the fare to the hotel is around 15 EUR. Airport Express bus services run to Ohlsdorf U Bahn/S Bahn station every ten minutes, and to Hamburg central station non stop every 20 minutes from Terminals 1 and 4 (journey time approx. 30 minutes). Hamburg has an efficient and well used system that includes rapid transit and underground trains, buses and ferries.
