Built in 1985 and renovated in 2006, the Hotel Mercure M�nchen Neuperlach S�d is housed in a modern, five storey red brick building situated eight kilometres from Munich's lively city centre and 40 kilometres from Munich Airport. The 245 guestrooms are decorated in neutral beige tones complemented by modern, dark wood furnishings. All are equipped with satellite television with pay movies, wireless and dial up Internet connections, direct dial phones with voicemail, minibars and safes. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations, makeup mirrors and complimentary toiletries.
Guests can enjoy a dip in the hotel's heated indoor pool, and then unwind in the sauna and top up their tans in the solarium. Diners can enjoy a range of regional and international dishes in the contemporary 1516 restaurant, while Biergarten, open during the summer, is an outdoor bar serving 12 different types of beer. Complimentary newspapers are available in the lobby. Multilingual staff at the 24 hour front desk are on hand to provide room service, look after valuables in the safe deposit box and exchange currency. Guests visiting on business can get online via public Internet access, and the hotel also offers a range of office support services. Driving Directions

Take metro line S8 to Ostbahnhof. Change there to line U5 and alight at Neuperlach Sud, which is 200 metres from the hotel. A taxi from the aiport to the hotel will cost around 60 70 EUR. Munich's extensive U bahn underground system is the most efficient way to get around the city. Tickets are also valid on the S bahn commuter trains, buses and streetcars. Taxis are quick, but quite expensive.
