Location. The Lansdowne Hotel is a city centre property housed in a traditional Georgian townhouse, and is situated 500 metres from Grafton Street and one kilometre from Temple Bar, the city's cultural quarter. Dublin Airport is seven kilometres away and can be reached by car in approximately 30 minutes.
Hotel Features. The Lansdowne Hotel's public areas are equipped with wireless Internet access (surcharge), and complimentary newspapers are available in the lobby. Other amenities include room service, laundry facilities and a concierge on hand to provide sightseeing assistance. Those arriving by car will find complimentary parking on site, and the hotel also provides airport transfers (surcharge).
The Lansdowne Hotel offers two dining options: the Druid's Restaurant is a modern dining room decorated with Celtic mouldings and tapestries, and serves local and international dishes, while the Den Bar is an informal, rustic bar decorated with sports memorabilia, and offers a daily carvery and a weekend brunch.
Guestrooms. The 40 guestrooms are traditionally decorated in pastel shades and come equipped with wireless Internet access (surcharge), satellite television, direct dial phones, coffee/tea makers and bathrooms.
Expert Tip. Dublin Castle, located one kilometre from the hotel, dates for the most part from the 18th century. The former seat of British rule in Ireland, the castle is now open to the public and its highlights include St Patrick's Hall, the Throne Room and the Vice Regal Apartments. The crypt of the Chapel Royal is now used as an arts centre.
