The Estalagem do Sado is a small converted 19th century palace, perched on top of the Brancanes hills overlooking the city of Setubal and the River Sado, one kilometre from the beach. The hotel features 66 air conditioned guestrooms spread over eight floors, all with contemporary decor in white and wooden flooring. Guestrooms open onto balconies or terraces with views of the river and city and include work desks with Internet connections, cable television, multi line phones, and minibars. Bathrooms are complete with tubs, showers, toiletries, and hair dryers.
In the hotel's Panoramic Restaurant Portuguese and international dishes are served in relaxed setting with contemporary furnishings and extraordinary vistas over the Arrabida beach and the city. Guests can relax with a drink or snack on a sofa in the lobby, which features arched pillars and dark wood panelled walls. A spacious terrace with sweeping views extends from the al fresco bar, providing a space for art exhibitions. Guests can purchase gifts in the shopping gallery or flowers from the florist. Guests can visit Setubal's Cathedral, the Mosteiro de Jesus Church and San Felipe Castle; all are one kilometre away. Lisbon (Portela) International Airport is 40 kilometres from the hotel, with an approximate driving time of 30 minutes.
